New Years Appetizer

Happy New Year to you all! We celebrated New Years at our friends Missy and Phillips house. They throw a P.J. party every year, and we always have such a good time over there. Good Friends and Good Food!
This year I made an easy appetizer that is a Paula Deen recipe. My friend Amanda made these in Tucson a few times, and I have been meaning to try them out. Well, good thing I did....they were a hit. Next time I will make two batches of these because they went like hot cakes. Warning: There is nothing healthy about this appetizer! :-)

Servings: 15
Serving Description: 2 crackers
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 2 hours

Ingredients:
3/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
1 sleeve of wheat wavery crackers (I used plain club crackers)
1 pound sliced bacon, cut in half (I used center cut bacon)

Directions
Preheat oven to 250°.
Place one teaspoon of cheese on top of each cracker. (I just sprinkled a little bit)
Tightly wrap a half of a strip of bacon around the cracker and over the cheese, being careful not to break the cracker.
Place wrapped crackers on a broiler rack or wire rack and set on a baking sheet.
Place in oven and back for 2 hours, or until the bacon is done.
Do not turn or flip over.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve hot or at room temperature.
