First we made a pit stop at Noah's Bed and Biscuit on the way to Tulsa. Sarah recommended this place for our dog Sara. It is boarding at its finest! The place was like nothing I have seen before, and it felt great that Sara would get to enjoy it for the weekend. She loved it too...She hasn't stopped sleeping since we picked her up on Monday.
We arrived in Tulsa around dinner time, and of course we headed to our fave place...Cheesecake Factory. Brock enjoyed "real" mac and cheese for the first time. Will had ordered some as one of his sides, and we decided to see what Brock would think of it. He went nuts over it! He would pick up a piece and scream at it with excitement before gobbling it up. It was almost embarrassing how loud he was yelling at times, but it was too funny.
Saturday we had some breakfast and then headed to Broken Arrow after his first nap. My niece, Hannah, had a volleyball tournament there all day so we were able to meet up with her and Pam for the afternoon. It was great to see them, and Pam just ate Brock up. We stayed for a few hours and then headed back to the room so that Brock could get rest before dinner.
When Will got off work, we headed to Hideaway Pizza for dinner. Thanks for the recommendation Sara and Kerry! It was delish, and we loved the atmosphere. Brock enjoyed the music, and he decided to entertain us with his dance moves. He would bob and weave in his highchair to the beat. He was so cute! Then, Uncle Thad flew that night and camped out with us. He had breakfast with Brock and I Sunday morning, and Brock really enjoyed seeing him. Thad couldn't get over how "big boy" Brock has gotten.
Sunday morning Myranda and Sassy Pants drove up to see me. I call Mia Sassy because she had her heart shaped sun glasses on when they arrived and she was giving me that Miss America wave. She is so cute. Brock was so excited to see her too. They played and played before we headed out to do some shopping. Mia turns one this Friday, and she is almost walking. I know that Myranda will be calling me any day with the news. I can't believe she is turning one. It seems like yesterday that she was arriving at the hospital. This time last year I was 12 weeks away from having Brock...crazy of fast time has gone. That night we hit up C.F. again for dinner w/ Uncle Thad, Rustin(Will's boss in Lawton), Kim, and their son Harry.
On Monday we did some quick shopping and headed home after lunch time. It was such a great weekend!
