Sugared Pecans

I found this recipe yesterday, and I knew that my husband would love these. I can seriously say that I have never made anything that required me to make egg whites stiff. :) I did it though and it really was a fun little recipe to make.

Sugared Pecans

1 egg white - beat until stiff
1 T water- add water and beat
1lb pecan halves- fold into egg white mixture

combine:
1 cup sugar
1 t salt
1 t cinnamon

Fold in dry ingredients, stir to coat pecans. Bake on a foil lined cookie sheet at 300 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Let cool and break apart, store in an airtight container. Be careful to not let these burn, they may not take 30 minutes to toast in your oven.

Tip: Get these out of your house a.s.a.p. You will end up eating them all!

Laurie!!! All of these delicious looking food posts are KILLING my attempts at self-control!! I just added the ingredients to the beans to my grocery list and am debating about the sugared pecans. I'm thinking I should wait until Tuesday to make those though so that they won't be hanging around here waiting to go to Fort Smith. Keep the recipes coming though!!
