Brock Andrew: Well since my last post he has become a wonderful two year old. I think he has changed so much over the past two months. He is finally starting to say so many words and short phrases. The word of the day lately has been "bubbles" or "my bubbles." Everything has to be "My" "Momma's" or "Dada's" like for example "Momma's Ju" which means Momma's Drink. His favorite songs this week are ABCD's, Jesus Loves Me, Twinkle Twinkle. When I ask if he wants to sing Itsy Bitsy he replies with "no, Bissy." :) He is all boy too lately. He is either jumping off something in the house or wanting to be outside. Will and I are always cracking up when he takes off running thru the house because he seems so fast with that little body! He is such fun! He is still very good and I think we are only facing a mild terrible two phase right now. He is such a good listener and once he is taught that a certain behavior is not acceptable he seems to stop most of time. We have had to do a time out here or there but not many. The last one we did was over the 4th of July for spitting on his sister while she was in her carrier. He just walked right over and spit on her like no big deal. haha! So I had to keep a straight face and put him in a time out. The spitting is still a bit of a battle at times but I am sure that is just part of being a boy. :) Speaking of his sister, he really loves her and besides the spitting incident has been only gentle with her. He is really into holding her this week too. Also, he is still going to Mothers Day Out and I think he loves it as much if not more as I do. He usually drops me like a hot cake and strolls on in like they had been waiting on him to start the fun. I usually have to beg for a kiss or hug goodbye....sheesh! The only down fall is that the boy doesn't nap there for some reason so some afternoons can be pretty sticky, but he usually seems just fine without the nap. He will switch classrooms this fall and be in the two year old room. I can't believe how fast he is growing!!!
Taylor Jane: This little girl is such a GOOD baby. She is so laid back and hardly ever cries. The joke while at the lake was "is there a baby here?" because she was so quiet. She has found her sweet little voice and loves to just talk and talk while playing. She has starting laughing too when tickled or with just silly interaction. She has been rolling over from tummy to back but not back to tummy yet. She is sleeping like a champ recently too. She is going to bed around 8 and usually just wakes once to eat and is up for the morning around 7 or 8. We have recently got rid of the swaddle and are slowly taking the paci away. She is falling asleep for naps and bedtime on her own now too. She fusses just a bit but not much at all really. She doesn't sleep well in her carrier unless in a moving car. She will be asleep when we get somewhere like Wal-Mart or a restaurant and she wakes up within 10 minutes. She is good though and just chills there until time to go. She is starting to move to 4 hours in between feedings but still mostly does 3 hours for now. She had her 4 month check up last week and weighed 15 lbs and 12oz and was 25 1/2 inches long. She was in the 95th percentile for head and weight and 75 percentile for height.
Here is Brock in Taylor's bouncy seat. He has a few days where he wanted to be a baby which was so funny. He would get in her seat and want to cover up with her blanket and then pretend cry. Too funny!

So since Taylor is now 4months we decided to try some rice cereal. After a few days of trying we decided she just wasn't ready yet and we would try again at 5 months. She just wasn't interested and pushed most of it out of her mouth.
Look at those cheeks...love her. Her eyes are still a golden blue!
Testing out the Bumbo. She seems okay with it but maybe another week or two before she is really ready.
